The Sweetwater Clifton ‘City Spirit’ Award pays tribute to local heroes who have made a significant difference in the lives of others. The award is named in honor of the late Knicks great, Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, who was the first African-American to play for the Knickerbockers. Recipients of this award epitomize the same trailblazing characteristics of the Knicks Legend.
Recipients are recognized at center court at Madison Square Garden on a monthly basis throughout the Knicks season and receive a $5,000 donation to a charity of their choice.
MSG VP Creative Director- Courtney Brown Warren asked me to produce a humbling video for the that years winner- Harlem Grown founder Tony Hillary.
Harlem Grown is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition.
